What to Watch For: Jobs Data and a Fed Speaker
• The Labor Department releases data on hiring and unemployment for May. Analysts expect that 176,000 workers will have been added to payrolls last month and that the jobless rate will have stayed at 4.4 percent. Here’s what to watch for.

Japan’s Nikkei Tops 20,000
The Japanese benchmark stock index, the Nikkei-225, topped the 20,000 mark on Friday for the first time since December 2015.
The surge in stocks has been driven by economic growth and by a weaker yen, which has helped to increase corporate profits.
The index finished the day 1.6 percent higher, closing at 20,177.
