SINGAPORE – A car mounted a kerb and crashed into a tree after an accident with a lorry in Braddell on Wednesday (Feb 7).
The Land Transport Authority said in a tweet on its traffic news channel at 11.25am that there had been an accident on Braddell Road, towards Bishan Road, after Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.
It advised motorists to avoid the left lane.
When The Straits Times was at the scene at about noon, the car was in front of a tree, with its hood crushed.
An ambulance was in the area, along with two traffic police officers. There was no sign of the driver or any passengers.
The police told The Straits Times that they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a lorry at the junction of Lorong 6 Toa Payoh and Braddell Road at 11.16am.
The car driver, a 57-year-old man, was conscious when taken to hospital.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident along Braddell Road at 11.15am and took one person to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
